More than 130,000 visitors invade Nuremberg every year for one of its biggest cultural events.
So, on 2 May, 2015, for the 16th time, the Old Town will be submerged in a sea of light and colours. But that is not all: More than 70 institutions will open their doors and provide a kaleidoscope of programmes which this year will be on the topic of “Freedom” – both literally and figuratively. There will be presentations from across Nuremberg’s entire and varied cultural spectrum: from the Germanische Nationalmuseum, the Neue Museum and the three institutions united in the “KulturDREIeck Lessingstraße” (Culture Triangle Lessingstraße), i.e. the State Theatre, the Museum for Communication and the DB Museum, to smaller jewels such as the Kreis GALERIE, the Jazzstudio, the CVJM (YMCA) and the Kunstverein Nürnberg/Albrecht Dürer Gesellschaft, as well as the churches in the Old Town.
